ALBERTO CAIOLA STUDIO IS A DESIGN PRACTICE FOUNDED IN SHANGHAI IN 2015. NOW BASED IN ITALY AND OPERATING GLOBALLY, THE STUDIO WORKS ACROSS INTERIOR, EXHIBITION, AND INSTALLATION DESIGN. INTERNATIONALLY RECOGNISED FOR HIS INNOVATIVE FUTURE SPACES, HE HAS BUILT A REPUTATION FOR CREATING HIGHLY IMPACTFUL EXPERIENCES. ICONIC AWARDS - DESIGNER OF THE YEAR
The Iconic Awards Innovative Architecture honour the best of the best. Among those who received the ICONIC AWARD Kengo Kuma (Architect of the year) and Adidas AG (Architects client of the year) statement of the jury: This year’s “Interior Designer of the Year” award was given to Alberto Caiola Studio. Alberto Caiola’s work removes the boundaries between classic interior design and art installation in an extremely individual way. When people visit these projects, they do more than enter a room. Rather, Caiola has the visitor discover new, frequently surreal worlds and experience and explore them with all the senses. This creates exciting installations with high show value, such as the extravagant Crash Baggage @ La Fayette retail space, as well as visually fascinating locations such as the ancient Greece-inspired rooftop club “NYX”, where visitors are immersed in immaterial-appearing scenery and leave the real world behind them for the time of their stay.
FRAME AWARDS - EMERGING DESIGNER OF THE YEAR
He was awarded Emerging Designer of the Year 2019 at the Frame Awards Ceremony, held in Amsterdam on February 20, 2019. The Award truly celebrates the outstanding and sometimes illuminatingly unexpected qualities that make up the future of spatial design. Among those who received the Frame Honorary Awards Philippe Starck, MINI Living, and Faye Toogood.
